This is wonderful bread! I just discovered it in Newfoundland and am thrilled as it has 0 gr of sugar, and makes excellent toast. I love the firm texture, the clean taste, and the simple ingredients. Bravo, Dimpflmeier!

While I lived in West Germany, 1948-1960, I discovered how good rye bread is. German rye bread is the best tasting bread I have ever eaten; much better than white bread or any other kind of bread. Upon my return to United States, I was unable to find any rye bread that tasted as good; American rye bread is horrible. While shopping Hannaford’s in North Conway, New Hampshire, I discovered Dimpflmeier Kloster Brot Rye Bread. I decided I would try it. To me, it tasted just as good and toasted just as good as any German rye bread from Germany. So hard to find on regular basis, I learned that I could purchase from the Dimpflmeier. What great service! I can order and receive 10 loaves of Kloster Brot within 24 hours of their shipping the bread through FEDEX. What great service!!!

Lovely bread, good with everything. Would be nice to try it warm and freshly baked. I suspect it tastes divine 🙂

Living in the Annapolis, Maryland area it is very difficult to find such wonderful bread, unless I drive into DC or a place North of Baltimore. Although I have pancreatic cancer, and my days are numbered I SHALL make the trips, because that bread gives me a lot of pleasure. Having been born in Germany it is no wonder that I enjoy good bread. Now if the US Gov’t would only allow the import of that good German beer, my days would be complete.

Love this bread and pick some up every time I go home to Toronto from East Texas. I just found that a store in Universal City TX may have some. Whoo hoo!!! Since one of our children lives close to there I’m happy that I can get some when my supply runs out. It’s the closest thing to the Italian Rye bread that I grew up eating.
